AIR Fertigung-Technologie |
 |
| The company AIR Fertigung-Technologie in Rostock rounds off the portfolio of Voith Turbo Marine. AIR specializes in the development, design and production of propeller systems made from carbon fiber-reinforced compound materials (CFRK, GFK). The result are marine drives with a much higher efficiency than conventional bronze propellers. The innovative drive concepts also excel by their extremely low noise and vibration values. Due to the application of carbon fiber-reinforced compound materials, the propellers offer an excellent mass: performance ratio.
In 1993, AIR Fertigung-Technologie began with the development of the Contur Propeller, the world's first ship's propeller made from fiber compound materials. It was followed by the innovative drive and steering systems Vector Propeller and Inline Thruster.
All propeller systems are extremely robust and require little maintenance.
