Voith WinDrive Customer Event
Over 40 participants from 3 continents representing major wind turbine makers, wind turbine engineering companies as well as wind park operators and grid companies were hosted by Voith Turbo Wind in Crailsheim for two days. After a hands-on off-shore team building event, speakers from DigSilent, DeWind and BARD gave insights into wind power grid integration, wind turbine field experience as well a the latest in offshore wind power technology. The highlight of the event was the live demonstration test run of the "next generation" WinDrive prototype developed for BARD's record breaking 6.5 MW offshore wind turbine. Due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback from all participants Voith is already looking forward to prepare for the next customer event while the WinDrive success story continues. |
